Inferno Star Slot Review
Inferno Star is a video slot from Play’n GO with 5 reels and 5 paylines. Released in May 2019, you can play this game at online casinos such as LeoVegas, Casumo or Guts.
Theme and basic information
Inferno Star is, despite its grand title, only a fruit machine. Yes, the reels are set in front of the backdrop of a gigantic burning sun (yes, suns tend to burn by default, but we felt it necessary to emphasise this fact here). That actually looks kind of cool.
But all the fruits on the reels look simple and generic and there’s nothing special about any of it. Only the sun symbols on the reels add a bit of difference to the game. Still, Play’n GO can do so much better in the graphics department that we can’t really hand out any praise here.
The most valuable symbol on the reels is the sun, of course. Get 5 of it on a payline and you’ll get 500x your stake as a win. The melon and cherries both pay out 75x our stake for such a win. Apple, plum, lemon and grapes all pay out 25x our stake for 5 on a payline.
There are only 5 paylines, however, and no wild symbols. So, whilst the payouts are pretty good, you will rarely get more than 4-of-a-kind wins in this game.
You can play this game from 0.05 to 100.00.
The Raging Sun
Watch out for the Raging Sun symbol, which initially only lands on reel 3. When that happens, the Raging Sun is held in place and you are awarded a free re-spin. Any new suns landing on the reels now pay out as scatters and more raging suns can appear on other reels. Land more suns now landing on the reels will award another re-spin.
It is indeed possible to land 5 Raging Suns on the reels and win the maximum payout of 2,500x your stake in this game.
Conclusion: A simple and somewhat disappointing slot
The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) of Inferno Star is 96%. That’s a solid average and still quite a decent value. But Inferno Star is a highly volatile game with few options to reel in big wins. With only 5 paylines and no wild symbols, you’ll be happy with any 4-of-a-kind win you manage to score and don’t expect to win much with the one feature on offer either.
Of course, if you like your slots on the simple side and one feature is enough, Inferno Star is the game for you. The game doesn’t make it difficult to play on a budget either, though High Rollers would definitely be happy here as well. Personally, we’re a little disappointed with this game. We never saw big wins here, though we probably didn’t play it as long as we should have to reap the rewards it can potentially offer. For that to happen, it simply didn’t manage to capture us long enough.
