About Evolution Gaming

Evolution Gaming was established in 2006, which was relatively late in online casino terms. Many other developers had already been around much longer and the first live casinos had been established by Playtech and Microgaming already. But Evolution wanted more and they wanted to become the very best.

They signed their first deals with major customers in 2007, among them Gala Coral, William Hill, Expekt, PartyGaming and GVC. Every year since they’ve managed to sign new deals with more online casinos, who also wanted the very best.

As a result the developer had to open new studios, already quadrupling in size in 2009. Evolution Gaming has studios in Riga, Latvia, as well as in Malta. Their studio in Riga is massive, accommodating more than 100 live tables on nine floors.

The Malta studio is much smaller and focuses on native language tables, which means here you can hear dealers in German, Italian, Swedish, French and other languages to accommodate the needs and wishes of their customers.

Evolution has received many prestigious industry awards and is one of the online casino game developers that boast by far the most licenses, guaranteeing safety and fairness to their customers.

Live Tables

Unlike other developers for online casino games, Evolution Gaming focuses entirely on live tables. That’s the undeniable specialty and its one of the reasons they are indeed the best at what they do.

They provide currently 8 different kinds of games:

  • Live Roulette – the different versions casinos may offer their customers include: Immersive Roulette, European Roulette, French Roulette, Speed Roulette, Live Double Ball Roulette, Dual Play Roulette, Mini Roulette, Slingshot Auto Roulette and various versions in native languages
  • Live Blackjack – here a large number of VIP tables are supplied, but also blackjack versions such as Blackjack Party, Bet Behind, Perfect Pairs and 21+3 Side bets and Pre-Decision
  • Live Baccarat – different version of the game include: multi-camera Live Baccarat, Live Baccarat Squeeze, Live Speed Baccarat, Choice of Roads and Pairs Side Bet
  • Live Casino Hold’em
  • Live Three Card Poker
  • Live Caribbean Stud Poker – introduced this year was the Caribbean Stud Poker progressive jackpot version; the jackpot can be won with a Royal Flush only
  • Live Ultimate Texas Hold’em
  • Live Dream Catcher – this is Evolution Gaming’s very popular wheel of fortune type live game, where instant prizes can be won when the dealer spins the wheel

Customising the gaming experience

Whilst all those games are available from Evolution Gaming, they have over 100 live tables now and quite a few of them are easily customisable for their customers. That means, for instance, that individual casinos can set their own table limits, use their own branding with the tables, even request dealers to appear in a particular attire and have speciality versions of the live games developed for their casinos. As such many online casinos are able to use dedicated tables and environments and you’ll hardly notice that you’re playing at an Evolution Gaming table.

Evolution Gaming offers the widest range of standard and VIP tables as well as the widest range of native languages, all of which can be requested by their B2B customers.

Additionally many of their tables can be used by a virtually unlimited number of players, allowing for significant revenue increase for their customers. And since their software is so easily integrated with online casinos, more and more casinos choose Evolution Gaming as their live gaming supplier.

State of the art technology

If you want to know how live casinos actually work, we recommend you read our article on the subject. What you’ll learn is that the amount of modern technology involved is fairly significant. Interestingly Evolution Gaming prides itself in the fact that all dealers are exceptionally well trained and that everything is done by hand.

But their technology to bring their live games to the players is indeed state of the art. Thus their tables are as close to the actual casino experience as you can get. Often multiple camera angles are supplied; some games are even specifically equipped as such.

Their live streaming technology works superfast and seamless and easily integrates with the online casinos that use Evolution’s tables. Interfaces are optimised in such a way that they can be adapted for any operating system and any screen size.

Evolution Academy

This is also something unique with this developer: their academy. It is located in Riga as well and here all dealers receive their training. And not just the dealers, mind you. All employees, even managers are trained at the academy. Dealers learn how to do their work professionally, especially in light of facing cameras and interacting with players that they can’t actually see.

Only when they are deemed ready, will they be allowed to ‘go live’ and even then the training will be ongoing, ensuring that the high quality Evolution Gaming aims for will remain standard. Of course, employees also learn about new games here and changes in the industry.

Safety and Security

You can’t be the best at what you do, if your compliance is not well above the industry standard. Evolution Gaming has been around for over a decade and has consistently delivered the very best, always adhering to its licenses and working with third-party auditors such as eCOGRA, TST or NMI to ensure all games are fair and monitored.

And that is actually handled by their own Mission Control, a central control centre, where all tables are monitored to ensure everything is fair.

They have received multiple licenses, including from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission. They’re also licensed or certified in Italy, Spain, Denmark, Belgium and Romania.

We can’t think of another online casino software developer or online casino that holds more licenses or certificates.

Live promotion integration

Whilst Evolution Gaming doesn’t host their own promotions, they allow their partner’s to use their tables and facilities to host live casino promotions.

That means online casinos can come up with small or big campaigns and integrate those with the live tables they use from Evolution Gaming. Competitions and prize draws can be held at those tables, specials can be offered and even cross-selling between different sections of an online casino (for instance sportsbetting) can be arranged as well.

Evolution Gaming are very flexible in that regard, much to the advantage of their partners.

Mobile live tables

Once again Evolution Gaming take particular pride in their mobile offering. They state explicitly, that their mobile solutions were not an afterthought, but that they are integral to their products and services.

Their games and technology are optimised in such a way that licensees can include their live games without any issues at all on their mobile websites or even in their mobile apps. Additionally, when new games are released, they’re automatically available for mobile play as well.

The games are already optimised for play on various operating systems, including iOS and Android, of course, and they are scalable in such a way that they can be played on pretty much any screen size from smart phones to tablets from all major providers as well as computer screens.

Of course the experience of playing at live tables on mobile is still quite different as opposed to playing at your computer, but Evolution Gaming have made it the best possible experience it can be.
