With Double Stacks we get another classic slot in bright colours, some neon elements, a synthesized background sound and interesting features. The slot is fast and good looking, considering that all the elements are indeed classic. We get Diamonds, Lucky 7s, Bar symbols, Bells, Cherries, Plums, Lemons and Melons.

The main feature in this game is the ability for all high value symbols to appear stacked on the reels and then double their value, when they do. The symbols will actually split, when that happens, giving you a better indication of what to expect. Two double stacks on the first two reels, or even a single and a double stack, will yield winning combinations as you’ll get three of a kind on three rows.
The maximum payouts for the symbols when you get five double stacks of them are found above the reels. The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) of Double Stacks is 96.1%. Having played a thousand rounds on the slot, we can confirm this is a realistic value, even if it’s not great, it’s sufficient. Our main wins came from some big and mega wins during the base game, thanks to those double stacks. On average we managed to score between 15x and 45x our stake, sometimes even more. So, that’s good news.

The bad news is that it took us forever to see the free spins even once. On our first try, we didn’t get them after playing 400 rounds. On the second try it took us over 500 spins to finally get 5 free spins. And only thanks to one bigger win and two additional free spins, did we manage to win about 42x our stake. Perhaps it was just a cold day for us, or we were simply unlucky. But waiting around for such a long time hardly seems worthwhile. The winning potential is there, absolutely.
