A Man from Coventry Wins £111K on Blackjack at a Local Casino

It has been reported that a man from Coventry managed to win an amazing amount of £111K playing Blackjack at Grosvenor Casino at the Ricoh Arena in his hometown.

The fortunate man, who is 39 years old and he works as a shopkeeper, chose not to reveal his identity to the press. He placed a side-bet whilst playing a game of Blackjack and he hit one of the three available jackpots.

The biggest jackpot that can be won is a one where the player gets a minimum of £10K if they hit the same Blackjack as the dealer, provided that the two cards are an Ace and a King of the same suit. The side bet in question is called Grosvenor Ace King Suited side bet and it is a progressive side bet.

The casino manager, Davies, stated that everybody at the casino are chuffed to have someone win such a large amount of money at their casino. He added that he hopes that this win will inspire many more players from Coventry to visit Grosvenor and try their luck.

But Coventrians are not lucky only when it comes to casinos. Namely, this city is the home of many lottery jackpot winners. Since the lottery was launches, in mid 1990s, there have been 60 millionaires within the CV postcode, which equals to 3 millionaires per year.

More than 520 people from Coventry have won top prizes of at least £50,000. Some of the prizes amounted up to £1 million. Coventrians McDougall and Dunn won a million on Lottery Scratchcards. This May, a lorry driver who was drawn in the People’s Postcode Lottery decided to quit his job. The 64 year-old Donald Tennant won a hefty sum of £184 thousand.
