Microgaming Releases Virtual Reality Video

The 2016 ICE show in February was once again a huge success with many software and game developers displaying the best of their newest technologies. One of the many highlights at the show was the pro Cryolab display from Microgaming provider which displayed its big R&D push preparing for the launch of virtual reality technology in the gaming industry.

The exhibition of the 3D cutting-edge technology was housed in a Cryolab with futuristic looks and design made especially for the ICE show. It also included a hands-on demo of the award winning virtual reality roulette game from the provider which attracted many visitors who were waiting in line for a personal virtual reality experience.

With the Oculus Rift DK 2 headset and the Leap Motion 3D Controller visitors had the chance to be virtually taken to outer space and seated on a roulette table. The state-of-the-art technology tracks hand movements and then projects them in 3D.

The presentation of VR was highly anticipated and very successful. Microgaming also released a video on YouTube talking about its virtual reality initiative as well as about the future of online gaming via this technology and so on.

For the provider to already have developed a free play virtual reality game, it means that it is already ahead of the game. However, noting is yet certain because many other providers have also stepped up with their innovations and concepts.

Nevertheless, if Microgaming manages to create an actual virtual reality game app for real money and make it available to players at a VR casino powered by the provider, the company will certainly take the top podium spot and leave the competition miles behind.
