Big Casino Brands Win Prestigious Awards at IGA

The 9th edition of the International Gaming Awards took place at the five star Savoy Hotel in London, UK. Several big online and land based casino gaming brands won prestigious awards at IGA for their hard work throughout 2015.

IGA was set back in 2008 and since then it has been awarding prizes to the best software suppliers, casinos and game developers in the gambling industry- both online and offline. This year’s event included a gala dinner, champagne reception and live entertainment including the highly anticipated awards ceremony itself.

Among the winners for some of the top prizes in the industry was NetEnt. This Swedish casino game developer scooped the prestigious Slot Provider of the Year Award. The competition for this award was tight with some of the best names such as Microgaming and IGT competing for the prize. Eventually, the award was handed over to NetEnt.

However, the Scandinavian developer wasn’t the only winner. LeoVegas Casino scooped the award for the Best Online Operator of the Year. The award was sponsored by NetEnt. The casino has been busy these couple of months creating an innovative ad campaign, signing up Jon Olsson as its new brand ambassador and adding sports betting content. LeoVegas once again confirmed that it is the king of mobile casinos and the award is another proof of its position on the throne.

Furthermore, Microgaming won the Safe Charge- sponsored award Innovator of the Year. Mr Green, on the other hand, won the Mobile Operator of the Year Award while the Mobile Product of the Year Award went to Play’n GO. Last but not least, the iGaming Software Supplier Award sponsored by Poker Stars was won by Yggdrasil.
