Atlantic City Casino Robbery Case Indictments Published

Thursday August 20, 2015—A security guard for an Atlantic City casino and for other people have been indicted according to New Jersey Officials. The security guard used his knowledge of “gunpoint robbery” to help him and four others to $180,000. Izyiah Plummer, Nathaniel Greenlee, Aaron Evans, and Donavon Jackson have been indicted on first-degree robbery, as well as other charges. Acting Attorney General, John Hoffman, stated the charges and also included Dwayne Morgan, 21 years of age, in an indictment for receiving stolen property. Morgan lived in Pleasantville with Plummer.

The robbery occurred in July 2014 just after 6am. Plummer, age 20 and Evans, age 25, entered Caesars in a car driven by Greenlee. Jackson was in the passenger seat. As the men fled the robbery search became a three-state manhunt. It took until August to arrest the men. There was also a Trooper shot. This Delaware police officer had his vest on and was protected from serious injury.

Plummer and Evans entered the casino and approached a security guard and another casino employee. The employees were loading cash boxes onto the trolley. Plummer used his handgun to get the workers to stop, while Evans removed the cash boxes. One was dropped and in their hurry they left another behind.

Greenlee, age 22, who was from Bear Delaware, drove to Plummer’s apartment where the robbery funds were split into four parts. Plummer gave Morgan $5,000 and then money to another roommate living in the apartment. The other person and Plummer’s girlfriend were brought in on charges, but they entered a pretrial intervention program thus they have not been indicted. According to the attorney general after the arrests were made the robbers were given a chance to get out on bail. The case will go to trial soon now that the men have been captured and indicted.
