One of UK’s best known online gambling operators – Ladbrokes Group – has released results of a survey that reveals when players tend to gamble the most. The operator surveyed the players that visited its gaming platforms such as Ladbrokes Casino, Ladbrokes Sports and Ladbrokes Bingo. The survey revealed that Monday has become the new Friday when it comes to gambling, plus some other curious facts.
As the results show, currently the most attractive time for online gaming is Monday after 6pm. This is a drastic change from 2014 when most of the players used to take part in online gambling activities between 8pm and 9pm,
Other interesting information acquired by the survey shows that a huge number of players enjoy gambling via mobile devices. Therefore, 13% of the people that took part in the survey answered that they have gambled while on a date. A bit less, 11%, at least once gambled during a wedding and 13% were gambling while being on a christening. Believe it or not, 35% of the players who took the survey admitted gambling while at work.
Besides the data that shows when people tend to gamble the most, there is also information about where they gamble the most. Turns out the living room is the number one choice for 50% of all gamblers, whereas only 18% decide to gamble in their bedroom.
The romantic side of the survey reveals that 39% of couples enjoy gaming while they are one next to another. The top five cities with couples that are the most likely to gamble together are Birmingham, Edinburgh, Bristol, Glasgow and London. In contrast, Southampton is the city of lone gamers.
