Ben Affleck is Reportedly Banned from Las Vegas Casino after Cheating in Blackjack

Hollywood superstar Ben Affleck is reportedly banned from Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino after he was caught cheating at the high stake blackjack tables. According to witnesses, the movie star was approached by the security staff that told him he “is too good at blackjack” and asked him to leave.

The actor was on a short holiday vacation in Las Vegas with his wife, Jennifer Garner, when the event happened. Reportedly, Ben Affleck was caught counting cards in blackjack which is not an illegal practice, but a casino has the right to restrict a player that is using this technique.

According to the alert submitted by the Surveillance Information Network, the 41 year-old actor, who won this year’s State Poker Championship for $356,400, was using perfect basic technique combined with card counting and he was moving his money in his favor. A source at the casino said that Affleck was very obvious that he was counting cards. The actor was using $100 chips in black to keep track and was placing bets ranging between $100 and $20,000 depending whether the shoe was favorable or not. The alert reads that Affleck is currently suspected of “advantage play”.

Abigail Miller, a spokeswoman from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, said that Mr. Affleck is important guest of the casino and he is not banned from the property. “He is welcome back any time,” she said. However, Miller didn’t say whether the Oscar winner is allowed back at the blackjack tables.
