Just announced from its corporate headquarters in Dublin, Cryptologic has signed a merging contract with its Scandinavian neighbor, Bet24. Like Cryptologic, Bet24 is also a popular company in the online gaming industry. The second largest entertainment group in Europe, Bet24 is owned by Modern Times Group. Some of the services they feature online include lottery, poker, and sports betting.
According to the terms of the agreement, Bet24 is to receive a minimum of 10 of Cryptologic’s biggest fan favorites among online gamers. It is said that there are to slot games that are branded and non-branded. Two prime examples of the type of games that Bet24 is talking about are the online gems Bejeweled and Cubis. Games like these will soon be launched and featured in Bet24’s live online casino. It has been reported that any revenues collected from the said games will be picked up by Cryptologic.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the company Gaming Technology Solutions, or GTS. Through GTS, Bet24 will gain access to Cryptologic’s games. With such a long list of customers, including 888, Betclick, and Unibet, GTS certainly doesn’t have to prove that it has a strong backbone in client satisfaction and reputation. Knowing this, Cryptologic decided to make the decision to come aboard in January 2009. Since the partnership was made, Cryptologic is now able to operate their games by using GTS’s Enhanced Gaming Engine platforms.
The Vice President of Cryptologic, Justin Thouin, has gone on record by expressing how happy he is about the merger. “Thanks to Bet24 being our new licensee of 2010, we’ve been able to build on all the new customers recently accrued in 2009 by Cryptologic.
