Zulabet is owned and operated by the Tranello Group of Companies. The casino and bookmaker has only very recently opened up their virtual doors and are thus one of the newest online gambling properties of 2019.
Whilst the Tranello Group is known to run such online casinos as Librabet (which may not tell you very much on its own), they’re also closely associated with Araxio Development N.V., who run a range of casinos including BoaBoa, Cadoola or Alf Casino. As such, we can consider Tranello an experienced operator.
Indeed, you’ll find that Zulabet has a lot in common with above online casinos, especially when it comes to the bonus scheme, the VIP program or other aspects of the site and their operations.
Here are a few things that stood out when we first looked into Zulabet:
Software: NetEnt, Betsoft, Wazdan, Endorphina, Pragmatic Play, NoLimitCity
Support: Live Chat, Email
Play on: Computer, iPhone, Android
Languages: Magyar, Polski, English
Currency: Euros, Polish zlotys, Hungarian forint, Russian rubles, Norwegian Kroner, Canadian Dollars
Zulabet is a bookmaker as well as an online casino. Whilst you’re not automatically redirected to their sportsbook, you will soon realise that the focus on their sportsbook is quite heavy. As such, new customers and first-time depositors get the choice between two welcome bonuses. One for the sportsbook and one for the casino.
The casino bonus is the standard bonus we have come to know from Tranello and Araxio Development. You can claim up to €500 for your first deposit and 200 free spins. Deposits made with Neteller and Skrill are not eligible to claim this bonus and you have to contact customer service to claim it.
The free spins will be handed out in increments of 20 spins across 10 days, with the first 20 spins available immediately after the first deposit was made.
As usual, only slots contribute towards the wagering requirements, which have to be completed within 10 days of receiving the bonus. And as we have also come to expect, a large number of slots is excluded from contributing or only contribute 20%. The full list is available at Zulabet, of course. Oddly, however, they included games from Microgaming in their list despite the casino not offering Microgaming games.
The second bonus players can use is aimed at those preferring to use the sportsbook. Here players can claim a 100% bonus of up to €150. Once again, deposits made with Skrill or Neteller are not eligible.
Before players can receive their bonus funds, they’ll need to wager their deposit once on odds of 1.5 or higher and all bets need to be settled first. Once received, the bonus and deposit have to be wagered 8x times to meet wagering requirements and single bets have to have odds of 2.0 or higher, with the maximum bet not exceeding €50.
This bonus needs to be wagered within 30 days before it expires.
As usual, we recommend you read the full terms and conditions of the bonuses over at Zulabet yourself.
Sometimes it feels rather arbitrary which game developers a casino operator decides to work with. Sometimes they simply want all games from everyone. And sometimes the selection is oddly narrow or specific.
In the case of Zulabet, the Tranello Group decided to go the latter route and stick to a specific selection of game developers. NetEnt, Betsoft and Wazdan thus give us the largest chunk of games available at the casino, complemented by games from Tom Horn, Pocket Games, GameArt, Endorphina, Pragmatic Play, BGaming and NoLimit City.
In total, you can currently expect a little over 500 games at this casino. We’re curious to see whether further developers will be added in the future.
In any case, you will be able to find some great slots here and boredom is unlikely. Most of us prefer to stick to a few dozen favourites anyway and you’re sure to find some here.
Beyond slots, you can expect to find a good selection of video slots, blackjack games, roulette, baccarat, casino poker and a keno and bingo game as well. Here, too, the selection could be larger than what it is, but we won’t make this in issue in this still very new casino.
For once, we actually get to filter jackpot games according to its own category. However, right now you’ll only find three games here: Caribbean Stud Poker, Divine Fortune and European Blackjack.
You’d think that’s barely enough, and you’d be right. But then you might remember that the largest portion of games at this casino is supplied by Betsoft, who offer a wide range of smaller local jackpot games as well as two big network progressive jackpots.
Thus, when you sort the games according to provider and select Betsoft, you will find The Glam Life and the Mega Glam Life here as well as many other jackpot games they offer.
Clearly, the jackpot filter is not quite where it should be, or someone somehow forgot to add those games in this section. Still the number of jackpot games is quite small, all things considered.
Once again, we find a dozen live tables from Evolution Gaming, including versions of roulette, casino poker, blackjack and baccarat as well as Dream Catcher.
But Zulabet also offers the Ezugi live casino, which gets its own lobby that you have to enter to find out which games are available here.
When it comes to live games, you can’t go wrong here, and the selection is more than enough for most casual players.
You’d think with the number of bookmakers and online casinos already out there, it would be a bit of a gamble (pun intended) to launch yet another bookmaker/online casino. And you’d be right. Whether it turns out to be a successful gamble for Zulabet will remain to be seen and we’ll be watching, of course.
In the meantime, they do provide us with both: a sportsbook and a casino experience. We were unable to find out whether they are using a proprietary sportsbook or whether they choose to work with a separate supplier. We are suspecting that the latter is the case. They don’t have many online casinos offering sportsbooks as well and the safer bet for them would be to use something that already exists.
As is the case with many new sportsbooks, the selection of markets is more limited than with long-established ones. But you do get the most common and popular markets here as well and a great range of sports to bet on. More exotic sports and markets are, of course, missing here, but that is hardly surprising.
The odds are probably a little worse here than elsewhere as well, but they are still competitive with similar bookmakers and definitely reasonable for the casual punter.
It seems, the customer service team is located on Cyprus. The team is available via phone, email and live chat, where we even get time frames as to how long a response will take. The phones are only manned between 10:00 and 20:00 GMT+3, excluding the weekends, but live chat is available 24/7. Plus, when in operation, phone calls are apparently answered within 10 seconds.
Email replies can be expected within 45 minutes, which is also pretty decent.
Of course, there is also a FAQ section, but it only answers a handful of generic questions and could use some work. You’re probably better off to contact customer service directly. Do be sure to read the full terms and conditions as well, though.
The Tranello Group is currently only licensed through Curacao eGaming. You’re aware that we don’t consider this quite sufficient. Even though there’s nothing wrong with this type of gambling license or the jurisdiction, player protection is increased when a casino has multiple licenses, including at least one from Europe.
We hope to see more on that in the future.
Games, at least, are tested and secure and the providers Tranello works with are entirely reliable. Since this is a very new casino and bookmaker, they will first have to prove themselves, so we can’t make a call just yet how trustworthy and reliable they are.
Alas, we are missing a dedicated page about banking methods at Zulabet. Thanks to some icons of payment options at the bottom of the homepage we know that deposit and withdrawal methods such as credit cards, e-Wallets (including Skrill and Neteller) and other methods such as zimpler, paysafecard, entercash, Interac or ecoPayz are available. But we know nothing of the transaction times or fees and so forth.
Mostly, you’ll get further information once you’ve created an account and visit the cashier, of course.
The terms and conditions do give us more information on withdrawals, at least. At Zulabet, a 10% fee might apply in case you didn’t play through your deposit at least 3x.
And once again there are withdrawal limits depending on your VIP level at the casino. Beginners can only withdraw €500 per day/transaction and a maximum of €6,000 per month. Legends get to withdraw €1,500 per day/transaction and €20,000. Limits such as these are never pleasant and once again shows that this casino is probably more aimed at casual players. High rollers couldn’t possibly be satisfied with such limits.
At first glance, the homepage of Zulabet impressed us with its clean and well-organized design, which also includes the pleasing colours and lack of gimmicks such as rapidly changing banners.
The banners do change, but not too fast and the colours are mainly grey with a few red highlights, quite relaxing for the eyes.
The navigation is also quite well-organized, and everything is only a click away. The homepage makes a very tidy impression, which is pleasant.
The same is true for the sportsbook, which is not at all overloaded or disorganized. That is sometimes a problem with sportsbooks, where you can get so much information at a mere glance that you feel slightly overwhelmed.
Overall, Zulabet did everything right here.
Zulabet is very accessible via mobile as well. The page translates well to the small screen and has been adapted with regards to the navigation and layout. You find everything you need there and can play the games, live casino and place sportsbets easily.
Zulabet provides a great gambling experience on the go and once again we’re inclined to give it preference over the desktop experience. As long as your smartphone runs smoothly in any case.
Zulabet offers tons of extra incentives to play here, whether you love sportsbets or casino games. There are many promotions and bonuses available for both.
Punters gets to choose among weekly bonuses of up to €500, a cashback bonus of up to €500 or a tennis free bet of €100. A football free bet and other promotions are also available.
Casino players, on the other hand, can look forward to extra free spins, reload bonuses and live casino cashback offers.
Casino tournaments are also regularly run, where you can mostly earn LP points, which are connected to the VIP program at the casino. Other promotions run by game providers may occasionally also available.
And the already VIP program is certainly worthwhile as the different levels from Beginner to Legend afford various benefits, including increased withdrawal levels, cashback offers and an account manager, etc.
At Zulabet you get a lot of extras for your gameplay and you might want to consider using some of it.
All its shortcomings aside, Zulabet left us a with a pretty good impression. Yes, we need more jackpots and a casino bonus that is less restrictive as well as a European license, but overall, Zulabet has a lot to offer for casual punters and casino players.
Their sportsbook is very well suited to first-time punters and for those who don’t need a huge selection of slots, the casino is also a good option, where a lot of great games are available.
The bonuses and extras at the casino have definitely impressed us and we do like the design of the whole enterprise, simply because it’s not overwhelming, pleasant in colour scheme and easily navigated.
We will have to see how the casino holds up in the long run, but for now we can recommend that you check it out yourself. Just skip the casino welcome bonus, if you want our honest opinion.
