We want to make a habit of telling you about the things to come and which new slots to expect from some of our favourite providers. Two new slots from Microgaming arrive in April.
Diamond Empire
This is actually created by Triple Edge Studios, who have only recently been acquired by Microgaming. You’ll notice the different look of the game, which is distinct from the typical look and layout of Microgaming slots. That’s a good thing because there’s nothing wrong with a little variety in our slots.
The theme of Diamond Edge is Art Deco (or Art Nouveau, which is very similar). You get 3 reels and 15 paylines as well as tons of multipliers of up to 650x in the base game and even 888x in the bonus game, where you’ll find a Wheel of Fortune type of bonus.
It’s a pretty game with simple features, no free spins and high payouts if you’re lucky.
Dream Date
The title of the slot says it all: it’s romance. But you get to actively choose the setup, which is cool. Pick the era you want to play in – historic or modern – and then choose one of four males as your dream date – pirate or gentleman, depending on the era you chose.
And then get spinning. If the main character, an attractive female, lands on the reels beside her beau, cash wins of free spins can be triggered. Additionally, there’s an expanding wild on reel 3, which comes with a 2x multiplier and big wins.
It’s a light-hearted theme and fun game that makes for some lovely entertainment if you need to relax.
Of course, Microgaming has offered its fair share of adventurous slots, such as Jurassic World, Avalon, Tarzan and whatnot, but every once in a while something friendly is nice as well and we don’t always need our hearts pumping when playing a relaxing slot game.
