PlayItForward by Microgaming donates £30,000

Social engagement and charity from major companies are a big deal in the UK. If you don’t have a cause you donate to, you’re not really a company one would want to work at. Microgaming proved once again that they care with their PlayItForward initiative.

Four charities chosen

Microgaming has a Gift of Giving program, where customers get to chose four charities in four different regions of the world who are then receiving £7,500 each. This is the fifth time since its inception that the Gift of Giving has made donations to various organisations and groups that Microgaming’s customers thought worthy or in need of them.

People chose charities from the Isle of Man, the UK & Europe, Africa and the rest of the world.

This year Women’s Refuge in the Isle of Man, Teenage Cancer Trust in Europe and the UK, Save the Rhino International in Africa and Médecins Sans Frontières for the rest of the world were chosen. Incidentally this the second consecutive time that those four charities received the most votes each.

About Gift of Giving

Whilst the vote took already place in December 2017, it always takes a while to count them and to then donate the money to the charities. It’s a good opportunity for some good PR, of course.

But keep in mind that the customers choose and not Microgaming. The Gift of Giving program makes the money available in lieu of handing out prestigious gifts to valued customers.

You may be aware that Micogaming is at home in the Isle of Man, so it is unsurprising that a local charity is always considered as well.

Thus far Microgaming has paid out £150,000 and we certainly hope that they continue to be as charitable as they have proven themselves to be with this program.
