NetEnt to release Vikings and Narcos slots

NetEnt has been busy with announcements lately and after the ICE Gaming in London more news have emerged: such as the release of TV show based slots Vikings and Narcos.

Narcos

This hit crime show is currently running on Netflix, though it’s produced Gaumont, one the oldest movie and TV production companies in existence. NetEnt and Gaumont signed the deal to develop the new Narcos slot, both excited about the cooperation and the prospect of reaching a new fan base.

NetEnt hopes to make a slot that does not just appeal to slot fan but that will also reach fans of the TV show. Gaumont on the other hand believes that NetEnt will be able to do the TV series justice, especially since NetEnt has a proven track record of developing excellent games based on TV shows and movies.

No details are available yet on what we can expect with this new slot, but we’re sure once it hits online casinos, it will become an instant favourite.

Vikings

Slots based on the adventures of the old Vikings are pretty popular and there’s a reason that this TV show is aired right now, because Vikings have become somewhat mainstream. The show follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok and his family and we’ve followed their trials and tribulations for several seasons now.

In cooperation with A+E NetEnt will be developing another slot game based on this show, the first of its kind. But don’t get too excited just yet, because the slot won’t be released until the end of the year. So there’s some waiting involved. And once again, no details are available yet as to what the slot might look like or what the gameplay might involve.

More to come

NetEnt is sure to keep busy with all their recent announcements for new slots, among them the Jumanji slot as well, which we’re all waiting for.

Plus, they also announced a Gonzo’s Quest VR slot, which we can look forward to towards summer. It’ll be the first of its kind and the trailer for the slot looks quite promising.

To think that NetEnt usually releases one new game per month, we already seem to be moving in on a full slate. It’ll be exciting to see what else the developer comes up with in 2018.
