NetEnt just announced a new movie slot – Jumanji. Keeping their lips tightly closed on this one, we’ll know more after the ICE Totally Gaming Show in a few weeks.
Based on the original movie?
Right now NetEnt has only released a teaser clip, suggesting that the new slot will be based on the original Robin Williams movie rather than the new iteration with Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black.
Frankly, the original movie was utterly charming and funny and quite innovative for its time. So it would be great to see a new slot based on that movie rather than the new one.
Introduced in London
We don’t know anything about the new slot yet, but it will be introduced at the ICE Totally Gaming Show in London, which will take place in early February. The massive iGaming event is always a great platform to introduce new games and innovations.
Whilst there is nothing official yet, the news we’ve heard did indicate that we’ll find out more about the new slot at the show and we’re certainly hoping that will be the case.
Movie-based slots from NetEnt
NetEnt is well known for their licensed slots. They made quite a few of them based on big blockbuster movies. One of their best known was Aliens, which is unfortunately no longer available. But just check out Planet of the Apes, one of their most recent releases and essentially two slots in one.
Or try classics like The Invisible Man and Dracula or any of their other fantastic games. We’re sure Jumanji will fit in quite nicely with NetEnt’s portfolio. Sound, graphics, 3D effects and likely movie clips will feature. We’re especially interested in the bonus features that the slot will come with. Hopefully we’ll get to dive right into the cursed game of Jumanji itself.
