Playtech Has Impressive 4th Quarter

Playtech Limited recently released their fourth quarter 2009 results and they were very impressive. The powerhouse online casino software company showed a 21% rise in gross income over 2009. Their gross income came in just short of 39 million. This success was in large part to the performance of a couple casinos, Italian Poker and William Hill Casino. Playtech reported fourth quarter revenues got to 30.4 million dollars. The full year revenues jumped 3% in 2009 as well bringing that number to over 118 million for the year. The playtech casinos showed the most growth in the fourth quarter totaling 20.7 million revenue. This was a whopping twelve % year to year raise. Poker growth was 3% as well. As mentioned before, William Hill was a key contribute to 4th quarter growth. The share of profit in William Hill Online rose to 22.5 million as it’s first full-year contribution.

CEO of Playtech, Mor Weiser, had the following comments about the 4th quarter results…

“The fourth quarter was a solid quarter with strong increases in all business areas. This strong performance has continued in the first three weeks of the year. The board is very comfortable with market expectations for the year ended December 31, 2009 and looks forward to 2010 with confidence as another significant year of development.”
