Big Gaming Company Lands Deal with U.S. Partner

After years of uncertainty, gaming company Playtech has decided it now wants to enter a new sandbox to play in – the United States of America. A few days ago, it was officially announced that the company is now ready to return to the American online gaming market as soon as possible. Since sealing the deal with native New Yorker and NASDAQ based Scientific Games Corporation, Playtech’s shares have risen an impressive 11%.

Through its interactive BRB gaming software and plethora of products, Playtech has been a very popular gaming company for years. On the other hand, Scientific Games has been known famously for their value and fun gaming operating systems over the last 40 years. For the two to combine almost seems like a match made in online gaming heaven. The agreement regarding the partnership between these two companies isn’t at all complex. In actuality, it’s fairly simple, as there are only 2 terms that need to be met. The first term of the agreement is that both companies need to merge to form the gaming company SciPlay, which strictly deals with online gaming on a global scale. United States lottery contests will be a primary target on SciPlay’s hit-list. Some of the games offered to customers will include poker, sports, instant games, and bingo. In addition to that, a wide variety of other services will be offered through the company. These include, but are not limited to the following: affiliate management, payment processing, and content management. To make sure that SciPlay stays within responsible gaming requirements, both Playtech and Scientific Games have enlisted the help of Mr. Richard M. Weil to act as SciPlay’s director of management. Some of Weil’s previous work history has included President of Fun Technologies, and VP of International Sales for Scientific Games.

The second and final term of Scientific Games and Playtech’s agreement regards the creation of gaming products for Scientific Games and its affiliate Global Draw. One of the first assignments on the “to-do” list involves upgrading Global Draw’s 13,500 fixed odds betting terminals to the Videobet platform in the UK. Future productions and joint marketing ventures of gaming terminals, video lottery terminals, and fixed odds betting terminals will also be included in this agreement. After this happens, Videobet will become the ultimate technology supply leader for online gaming in the UK.

Playtech and Scientific Games CEO’s, Mor Weizer and Mike Chambrello respectfully, have cared to offer a joint statement related to their latest merger.

“An important step for both companies, we’re looking forward to using our alliance and necessary skills to have a global impact by providing the opportunity to combine our knowledge to create a maximum effect.”

The two chairmen also went on to say that while the services provided from their partnership would be in total compliance with online gaming regulation rules, ultimately the customers would benefit and still be able to enjoy an overall fun and sophisticated gaming experience.

Some of the more popular Playtech casinos are Casino Tropez, Europa Casino and Winner Casino.
