JoReels JoReels

JoReels Casino Review

JoReels is another online casino property owned and operated by MT SecureTrade Ltd, who are behind a bunch of other casinos such as Guts.com, Rizk, Cashmio, Dunder and Mobil6000. JoReels was founded in 2017, so is among the younger casinos out there. But they have a lot of experience at their disposal and MT SecureTrade Ltd are definitely among the most trusted providers out there.

JoReels is once again a unique offering from the operator, taking up a different niche than all the other sister casinos. MT SecureTrade Ltd has a habit of giving each of their casinos a different outfit, instead of just being another copy that is easily recognized.

Here you get a speak-easy, early 1930s kind of theme that hails back to the likes of Dick Tracey and his comic book ilk. You see, the graphics of the site are straight from a classic comic book, sepia in tone to set the atmosphere, but still a little cheeky and fun to reel you right in.

JoReels is the proprietor of the place, who promises entertainment and enjoyment of the old-fashioned type.

To get you started here, you could claim a bonus of 100% on your first deposit and up to €100 extra. A smaller bonus on your second deposit would be an option as well.

And why would you want to get started here? Check out these advantages:

  • MGA and UKGC licensed
  • Trusted operator
  • Over 700 games from great providers
  • Unique theme
  • Live and mobile casino
  • 24/7 support

Grab a bonus on your first two deposits

At JoReels you can grab a bonus on your first deposit. Receive a 100% match bonus and claim up to €100 extra. Nothing unusual about that. However, you’re going to want to tread carefully here, because the bonus terms are pretty strict. Your deposit and bonus have to be wagered 35 times each, so a whole 70 times together. That’s tough. Especially since you only have 7 days to do so before the bonus expires. And to top it all off, the maximum winnings from a bonus are capped at €2,000 – though that amount is adjusted, if you claim less than the maximum bonus.

Yikes. Those are some of the strictest conditions we have seen thus far. And not all games contribute towards wagering requirements either. In fact, only slots contribute 100%, though some only contribute 50% and others not at all. You can find a full list of what’s what in the bonus terms and conditions at JoReels. Table games, live games and video poker also do not contribute at all.

Finally, you can claim a 50% bonus on your second deposit as well, which would once again give you an extra of €100 maximum.

If you should ever want to claim a free spin offer, be aware that those come with 49x wagering requirements. Again, on the steep side of things.

A solid collection of games

Under ‘All Reels’ you’ll be able to find all games. They’re sorted into various categories such as popular, new, risky, jackpots, live and table games. You can also filter according to provider, however. Among those you’ll find Microgaming, NetEnt, Play’n GO, NYX Interactive, Betsoft, Scientific Games, Quickspin, IGT, Thunderkick, ELK Studios and more.

At JoReels you’ll be able to enjoy the newest and best games such as Pink Elephant, Pied Piper, Deco Diamonds, Sea Hunter, Universal Monsters, Planet Fortune, Wild Seas, Finn and the Swirly Spin, Fu Er Dai and many more. There are easily 600+ slots to choose from and on top of that a bunch of tables games.

Roulette and Blackjack dominate here, though Red Dog and Pai Gow Poker are also available. If you’re looking for Video Poker games, you will have to search for them. There’s no filter to sort those types of games for you, but if you simply write ‘poker’ into the search field, a number of results will show up. Though that’s about it. There are no ‘other games’ such as keno or bingo, but that’s not a big issue.

A small live casino offering

At the very least you will find a few live tables at JoReels as well. Given the era the casino seeks to emulate, we’d have hoped for a little more here, but what we get is better than nothing. Live tables are provided by NetEnt as well as Evolution Gaming, meaning you get the best of the industry.

You can choose among various Roulette and Blackjack tables as well as Dream Catcher and Casino Hold’em. One Baccarat table is available as well, which is also the only Baccarat game offered at the casino.

A handful of progressive jackpots

And we do mean handful. Right now, you’ll be able to find 15 progressive jackpot games, though the choice is surprisingly eclectic. Life-changing wins are as possible as going after small, local jackpots. If you want to try one of the big ones, check out these:

  • Mega Moolah and Mega Moolah Isis
  • Hall of Gods
  • Arabian Nights
  • Mega Fortune
  • Mega Jackpots Golden Goddess
  • Major Millions
  • King Cashalot

Additionally, you’ll get Cosmic Fortune, Divine Fortune, Super Lucky Frog and Gunslinger here.

No jackpots

24/7 Live chat

You can click on ‘support’ at JoReels and will land straight in the FAQ section, which is quite helpful. A lot of questions have already been answered in this section, making it almost unnecessary to contact customer support unless you have another, more specific problem.

In that case you can contact the team using the live chat feature, which becomes available once you’ve logged into your account. Otherwise simply send an email and wait for a reply. That won’t take long either and you’ll find the team to be helpful and competent.

Two licenses are all we need

Many online casinos have two licenses nowadays. It’s rare to find one that only has one license. You may already know that MT SecureTrade Limited are regulated through the Malta Gaming Authority as well as the UK Gambling Commission. Thus, JoReels is well licensed as well. It’s always good to know that the UKGC has approved an operator for a license. They are notoriously strict with their licensees and you can expect them to ensure that regulations are adhered to.

Additionally, JoReels offers a lot of information on responsible gaming, which is usually the case at casinos run by this operator. It means you’re certainly well looked after here and can play safely.

No RTP information published

Even though the UKGC does require its licensees to publish their RTP, that is currently not the case with JoReels. The casino is still new, but MT SecureTrade Ltd is an experienced operator and they should know better.

Of course, you can always check out individual games and their RTPs, but that won’t give us more than an idea as to what the actual payout rate of the casino is.

Hopefully the numbers will be published eventually.

Payment options are handily listed

At JoReels you’ll get a separate section for payments, which handily lists all deposit and withdrawal options currently available at the casino. Not all of those option may be relevant to you, depending on where you live. To make deposits you’ll be able to use Visa, MasterCard, Neteller, Skrill, paysafecard, Trustly, ecoPayz, Euteller and a few more.

Many of the same options as well as bank transfers are available for withdrawals. You may read elsewhere that JoReels is charging fees for deposits and withdrawals, but that is no longer the case. All deposits and withdrawals are free of charge.

The minimum deposit and withdrawal you can make is €20. The maximum withdrawal per week would be €5,000. No further limitations seem to have been put into place, at least we were unable to find any. If you should have doubts here, simply contact customer services.

A fun and nostalgic design

If you ever wanted to live in the roaring 20s or early 30s of the 20th century, JoReels is a good place to visit and become nostalgic. Whilst the site is designed like a classic comic books, with various sepia tones dominating the colour palette, there’s still something that feels as if you’ve just entered a notorious speak-easy, where you may order a drink that is still prohibited and take a gamble playing dice or poker or even spinning the wheel. The air is thick with smoke, because smoking is decades away from being prohibited in public places.

The site looks fun and it’s quite entertaining. Navigation and layout are intuitive and easily handled. The only thing we had to get used to and aren’t sure that we like is the font used everywhere on the page. Plus, it’s all written in upper case and that’s not always easy on the eyes, especially considering the font used.

A neat mobile experience

As is almost to be expected these days, JoReels casino is also available to mobile players. There’s no need to download an app or anything either. Simply open up the mobile page on your smartphone or tablet and you’re good to go.

The layout is, of course, different. It’s better adapted to the small screen and you’ll be able to jump into games right on the first page, whether you want to play them for fun or you’ll go ahead and sign in, if you want to play for real money.

The menu that takes you to the different sections in the casino folds away neatly and you’ll have to open it up in order to navigate around. The graphics are scaled down here, meaning the comic book character of the desktop page is taking a backseat here. The sepia colour scheme prevails, though.

Overall, it’s quite a pleasant mobile experience and you’ll be happily playing on the go at JoReels.

Races, offers and a VIP scheme

It’s unlikely to get boring at JoReels. The Roaring Races, for instance, dish out a share of €2,000 every week to participating players who find themselves among the leader board. You simply need to place real money wagers on slots and each of those will take you up on the leader board. Races run from Monday to Sunday every week and you’re opted in automatically, though the minimum bet for it to count and move you up on the leader board is €0.50. You’ll earn points, which will then determine your standing.

Wins are handed out as Megaspins, which have a value of €1 per spin.

Then there are the nearly daily promotions you can avail yourself of. There’s a raffle on Tuesday, Cashback on Wednesday, free spins on Monday, Live Dealer rewards on Thursday, more free spins on the weekend and finally happy hours to enjoy. So many offers, pretty much one each day, are rare and something we particularly like about this casino. Be aware of the bonus conditions, however.

The VIP scheme is available automatically to all players. Once you have an account here and get playing, you can collect points and progress in the VIP room, making it from a ‘Made Man’ to ‘The Don’ in five steps. It’s not super unique, but we do like the different titles you can acquire here instead of plainly progressing from bronze to platinum or some such.

Conclusion: A great casino idea with much on offer but overly strict bonus terms

JoReels is a great place to visit for a unique casino atmosphere that is quirky and fun without being overly playful. You get a great selection of games here, though the focus is heavily on slots, whereas other types of games, including live tables, are few and far in between.

We like the atmosphere here, which is pretty laid back. The lingo takes some getting used to and sometimes JoReels is trying a little too hard for our liking. Still, you’ll definitely remember the place.

Plus, you get loads of promotions and opportunities to rise in the ranks and grab something extra whilst playing as you normally would.

What we’re rather wary of are the strict bonus terms. Wagering requirements are very high indeed and if that wasn’t bad enough, most bonuses expire after 7 days already, meaning you’ll hardly be able to complete the requirements to make the most of the bonuses. That is a bit of a shame and will certainly deter customers with a tendency to abuse bonuses. But it might not entice others to claim the bonuses, if all they want is play a little for fun.

So, whilst we can recommend JoReels for many things, you may want to take it easy on claiming a bonus.
