Theme and general information

Time Travel Tigers is yet another slot from Yggdrasil with a unique theme. The title is slightly misleading, however, since there is only one time-travelling tiger, Dr Tigerstein. He could very well be modelled on HG Wells infamous time travel as the scene appears to be set in Victorian era England. At least the base game is inside some sort of mansion from that era and Dr Tigerstein is suitably attired.

He’s waiting to the left, watching the happenings on the reels. Above the reels, a clock is not quite ticking away as we would expect as the hands are all over the place.

Visually, we get a superbly crafted slot just as we are used to from Yggdrasil. We get standard low value card suit symbols on the reels as well as some paraphernalia from the different eras the time-travelling doctor finds himself in during the free spins. We get a ray gun, potions, a shield, a scarab and a stone axe, which is worth the most at 6x our stake for 5 of a kind.

Whilst the game has 5 reels and 4 rows, we only get 25 paylines, which seems a little anachronistic nowadays and not a little ironic in a time-travelling slot.

Overall, wins in this game are pretty low for the most part and it is problematic that there is not a single feature in the base game. Given the theme, there is much more that could have been done with it and if you are unlucky, you have to wait a long time for the free spins to hit. It took us more than 300 spins and the results weren’t anything to get excited about either.

Time Travel Tigers may be a good-looking game, but there is little that recommends it besides.
