With Super Joker we become yet another classic slot from Pragmatic Play. It has a sort of disco feel with the right background music to it. It’s bright and colourful and glittering.
Whilst well-crafted, the slot is nothing special in the fruit machine line-up we know too well.
On the reels we get the diamond as the highest-value regular symbol, which pays 5x our stake for 3 on a payline. The bell pays out 3x our stake for such a win. There’s a star that is still worth 2x our stake and we also get lemons and cherries. The bar symbols (in green, purple and blue) are the lower value symbols here.
The joker in the game is also the wild symbol. Whilst he substitutes all other symbols, three of his kind pay out 15x our stake. So, the more jokers we see on the reels, the better.
You can play this game from 0.05 per spins to 25.00 per spin, which makes it especially suitable to budget conscious players.
All symbols on the reels are stacked, including the joker. If two stacks of the same winning symbol (or a stack of jokers) land on the reels, you will get re-spins for as long as it takes to create a winning combination.
This is not an unusual feature, but it helps creating added wins in the game, sometimes even decent base game wins, especially when a joker is involved.
If you get three reels with the same symbol (including the joker), a multiplier wheel appears. It consists of two rings. The inner ring spins first and awards a multiplier between 2x and 5x. However, you can also land an upward arrow that will get the second ring spinning. This comes with 7x, 8x, 10x, 12x or 20x multiplier.
Wherever the wheel now stops, the multiplier is awarded, and the reels continue to spin once more.
This feature hits abut once every 50 to 100 spins, which isn’t too bad. We’ve had some pretty decent wins with it. The theoretical maximum payout of this game is 1,500x your stake, which would include three reels full of jokers and a 20x multiplier.
The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) for Super Joker is 96.52%, which is quite good. The slot can be very volatile though and it is better to budget carefully. Thankfully, Super Joker is aimed at the budget-conscious player anyway with stakes as small as 0.05 per spin.
In fact, with a bet of 0.50 per spin we easily played 400 spins without cutting too much into our budget. And then we won over 140x our stake once, which was pretty nice. The slot doesn’t have massive payouts anyway, so we take it.
At the end of the day, however, this is a classic slot that you may end up forgetting after playing it once. It’s not super exciting, not overly special with its features and whilst it is solid, it’s not so well-crafted that it would leave much of an impression.
