Theme and general information

Reel Rush 2 is the sequel to the wildly popular Reel Rush slot. Graphically, the similarities are definitely recognisable without the new game being a simple copy. Yes, the symbols on the reels are very much the same. There’s a bit of a retro vibe going on and we get very brightly coloured fruit and candy drops.

The background is a green fantasy realm with oddly shaped trees and landscapes. The soundtrack is bright and clear, and some birds are chirping as well. Whilst there is a cartoonish quality to the graphics, the 3D animations are well done, and the game looks pretty great.

You’ll notice that that the 5 reels in the game only show 1x3x5x3x1 symbols in the base game, which can be expanded thanks to the features available.

The fruit symbols show us strawberries, pineapple, oranges, melons, grapes and plums, which are worth between 0.5x and 8x our stake for 5 on a payline. There are also five candy drops in corresponding colours. It all looks a little sugary, to be honest, but not unappealing. There is also a wild symbol in the game.

Lots of random features in the base game

One of the biggest differences to the first Reel Rush game is the little train with three small carriages that stop before the reels on every spin. On those carriages, you may or may not find random modifiers that add features to the reels.

There are 8 modifiers in total and you could get 3 at a time:

• Block Breaker – A little gun turret fires on the reels and removes the blocks to free up the symbols. If the last remaining blocks are removed from the reels thanks to the gun, it will trigger the free spins.
• Extra Super Tokens – Between 3 and 15 tokens can be added to the Super Token Meter.
• Multiplier Boost – The progressive multiplier is increased by 1x.
• Random Wilds – 1 to 3 wilds are added to the reels.
• Second Chance – If you didn’t create a win, a re-spin is awarded for another chance.
• Symbol Upgrade – A symbol is randomly selected to be upgraded into a higher value symbol. All instances of the symbol are upgraded.
• Symbol Multiplier – A symbol is randomly selected to receive a multiplier of 5x, 10x, 15x or 20x.
• Extra Free Spins – During the free spins extra spins may be added.

Also, each win will remove the blocks on the reels the winning combination landed on, expanding the reels and adding more paylines. When a block is removed, you will also receive 1 to 5 super tokens.

Finally, there is the free spin meter on the right-hand side of the reels. Whenever two blocks are removed, a star is added to the meter.

Standard or Super Free Spins

Once the meter is filled up and all blocks are removed from the reels, you trigger the free spins. If you have already collected 2,000 super tokens, the Super Free spins will automatically be activated. If that’s not the case, you have three options:

• Either you buy more super tokens to activate the free spins
• You gamble the super tokens you have and hope to win the super token free spins
• Or you simply play the regular free spins

You can keep collecting super tokens until you have enough of them to trigger the super free spins eventually:
