Wild Neon has not been given its title by accident. Neon is the colour of choice here. All symbols are brightly lit, and neon coloured, reminding us of similar slots from other developers. Indeed, it is almost as if this was a popular choice there for a while. The reel symbols are all very classic, giving us diamonds and sevens, fruits and bells. We get an electric background sound, which can become a little repetitive, but goes well with everything else. Graphics are well done, and the layout and navigation are very intuitive.

Diamonds, 7s and bells are the highest paying symbols, supported by cherries, lemons and stars. The lower paying symbols here are the card suits, clubs, hearts and so forth. By the way, the wild is also among the highest paying symbols here and has the same value as the diamonds.

The ‘Wild’ in the title of the game already suggest that the wild symbol might be of more importance than usual. Of course, it substitutes all other symbols (except for the scatter) as it usually does. But even in the base game it offers something beyond that. During the base game and free spin features one wild symbol will just act as all wild symbols everywhere in every slot and simply substitute for any other qualifying symbol. But as soon as another wild shows up on the reels, the two will be linked up, turning all symbols on the way wild as well. That’ll happen anywhere on the reels and sometimes be completely useless and sometimes hugely advantageous.

Then there’s the free spin feature, which makes things even more interesting. Firstly, you’ll have to collect three scatters (bonus symbols) on reels 1, 3 and 5. That’ll activate the free spins. Before you start spinning, however, you can choose among 6 question marks and reveal 2x multipliers, 5 extra free spins (you get 5 to begin with), instant cash prizes and extra wild symbols, which are chosen among the high paying symbols that will then turn wild as well and link up with other wild symbols.
