Aliens is based on a licence from the 1986 James Cameron movie starring Sigourney Weaver. The tagline for the movie was “In Space, nobody can hear you scream!”, and the atmosphere of the movie has transferred really well into this tense, engaging and highly entertaining game. You will see all manner of aliens spinning on the reels and the best one are the Alien Queen, Warrior Alien and Scout Aliens. As a rule of thumb, the bigger and nastier the alien, the bigger the reward! Aliens is a game of three separate levels. In Level 1, The Search, you are playing a standard 15 payline slot. At the top of the screen is an Alien Activity Meter. As you spin wins, the winning symbols (except for Wilds) are added to this meter. If you spin in wins with the same symbols, you increase the Multiplier on these. The more successive wins you have, the more the Meter will build up and you will (hopefully!) unlock The Encounter, which is Level 2.

In Level 2, the Multipliers and symbols from Level 1 are carried over. You are armed with a gun and some Ammo Clips to hunt the Aliens. The level plays out automatically, as the symbols from the Alien Activity Meter are placed into the first 3 reels of a payline and the remaining reels spin to generate wins. If you have lots of Multipliers from Level 1, you can win BIG! When you win, a wheel appears and spins, offering you the chance to get more ammo for your Ammo Clip. You need Ammo Clips to complete the level, because if you run out of ammo, you are eaten by an alien! And back to Level 1 you go!

If you can keep your ammo topped up and get to the end of the Alien Activity Meter, you can unlock Level 3. This is called The Hive. Here, you try to destroy the alien hive. Again you have an Ammo Clip and a Grenade Strength indicator. There is also Hive Strength Indicator to let you know how close you are to destroying the hive. If you are lucky enough to destroy the hive, you will be rewarded with a Coin bonus. Again, the action plays out largely automatically, but it is all very exciting stuff.

The Weyland-Yutani symbol is a Wild which will substitute for all other symbols except Scatters to create winning combinations. The Weyland-Yutani Wild does not increase the value of a win if it appears within a winning combination (it has no Multiplier value).

The Return to Player (RTP) for Aliens is 96.4%, which is pretty good value for a Video Slot.
