Money Mouse Slot Review
Released in February 2020, this game can be played at online casinos such as Royal Panda, LeoVegas or Rizk.
Theme and general information
Money Mouse celebrates the Chinese New Year and comes with a cute mouse as the mascot of this game. It also happens to be the wild, mind you. It should be noted that the Chinese New Year rings in the year of the rat in the Chinese Zodiac. But nobody would play a game called Money Rat and it wouldn’t be half as cute either.
So, Money Mouse it is. The celebrations and fireworks can be glimpsed in the background. The reels spin on a Chinese temple and we get low value playing card symbols from J to A and high value symbols with oranges, drums, firecrackers and a dragon mask. The latter is worth 20x our stake for 5 on a payline.
With the Money Mouse online slot, we get a fairly generic looking Pragmatic Play slot, which is where we find most of their slots anyway. It’s also a generic looking Asian slot, to be honest. The only highlight is the Mouse that makes an appearance every now and then.
You can play this game from 0.25 to 125.00.
Free spins with a giant symbol
When it comes to the gameplay in this slot, we are looking at a clone of Wolf Gold. That means nothing much is happening in the base game. We are waiting for the free spins to be triggered by the golden tree on reels 1, 3 and 5. When that happens, we get 5 free spins. Now the three middle reels become 1 giant reel with only giant symbols spinning on it.
Further three scatters would retrigger the feature, which can happen an unlimited number of times. But that’s about it for the free spins.
Three static jackpots
The jackpots appear above the main reels and the jackpot game is triggered when at least six money symbols (which have various values) land anywhere on the reels. The six symbols remain on the reels and now we get three re-spins where only further money symbols or empty spaces appear on the reels.
If further money symbols land, they become fixed and the re-spins reset to three. If no money symbols land, the counter goes down until no more re-spins are left, or we catch additional money symbols.
Once all re-spins are done, all coin values are added and paid out. If all 15 symbols are filled on the reels, we also win the Grand jackpot, which is worth 1,000x our stake. The Minor jackpot pays out 30x our stake, which is paid when the Minor jackpot symbol lands among the money symbols. The Major jackpot is worth 100x our stake and pays out when the Major jackpot symbol lands.
Verdict: A Wolf Gold clone solely aimed at the Asian market
The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) of Money Mouse is a solid 96%. The slot comes with a medium to high volatility and we get a maximum payout of 2,500x our stake. In most ways, this is a completely average slot. It doesn’t have anything new to offer as it is a clone of Wolf Gold and the theme is nothing special either. Whilst aimed at the Asian market, you will be able to play it online casinos that cater to both European and Asian customers.
If you love Asian slots and like a shot at a static jackpot, by all means, check out Money Mouse. But there are much more worthwhile and interesting Asian slots to play than this one.
