Master Joker is yet another classic slot in the Pragmatic Play line-up. And at first glance, it looks even simpler than all the other recent classic slots we’ve seen. But don’t be deceived. Yes, we only get one row of symbols and thus, we only get 1 payline.

Above the reels, the name-giving Joker gives us a challenging look. She spins the large wheel, if her pendant appears on reel 3.

But this is definitely a good-looking slot. The details are lovely, the colours bright, the execution detailed and graphically superb. Especially the Joker looks awesome.

Only the background music, which is awfully repetitive, will grind on your nerves eventually and you’re better off switching off the volume.

The classic symbols on the reels are the lucky 7, which is studded with diamonds and worth 100x our stake for five of its kind. The gold bars are worth 50x our stake for 5 of it. The melon, plum, cherries, lemon and strawberry follow. They’re worth between 8x and 25x our stake.

The aforementioned Joker only lands on reel 3, where it also acts as a wild.

Land the Joker and spin the multiplier wheel

So, how do you land a win on just 1 payline? We have five symbols and as long as three matching symbols land anywhere on the reels, we get a win. Or two plus the Joker, of course.

That makes it significantly easier to score a win, though this is a super volatile slot, which means wins are rare either way.

Now, if the Joker lands on reel 3 and can form a winning combination with at least two other matching symbols, the Joker above the reels jumps into action and spins the big wheel, which contains multipliers.

The options are 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 25x, 50x and 100x the win on the reels.

It’s even possible to land two wins on that one payline, if we get two times two matching symbols plus the Joker. Both wins would be paid out and the multiplier is applied both times as well.

Verdict: A great-looking innovative slot that can eat up your budget

The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) for Master Joker is 96.46%, which is very good and very necessary given that this slot comes with the maximum Pragmatic Play volatility. This classic slot is not to be toyed with. One main advantage, though, is the fact that you can bet as little as 0.01 per spin, which allows you to stretch your budget quite a while. We found that the Joker shows up once or twice during 100 spins and, unfortunately, we often only got the 2x or 3x multiplier. The maximum we enjoyed was the 10x multiplier and a win of 50x our stake.

That’s nowhere near the potential of 10,000x our stake with 4 lucky 7s, the Joker and a 100x multiplier in a win.
