Lilith’s Inferno is a video slot from Avatar UX developed for Yggdrasil Gaming. The slot has 5 reels and 25 paylines across 4 rows. This game can be played at online casinos such as PlayOjo, Kaboo or Casumo.
When we first heard the title of the slot, we imagined a demonic Lilith wreaking havoc in the underworld. After all, Lilith was the first wife of Adam according to apocryphal biblical texts. She was not made from his rib and she did not want to obey him. Eventually, she was turned into a demon as a penalty.
In Lilith’s Inferno, however, we get a little blue sort of demonic being that is rather cute as she battles against big ugly bosses.
We do visit the netherworld, mind you, but it looks to be inspired by Asian fantasy video games such as Final Fantasy and the like.
Graphically, the game looks superb. Whilst the card suit symbols are a little generic, they are still well crafted and we also get the four bosses on the reels alongside a Gorilla scatter and a golden crown, which is the wild.
The four bosses pay out between 16x and 24x our stake for wins of 5 on a payline, which is quite decent. The low-value symbols are still worth 4x to 6x our stake for such a win.
You can play this game from 0.10 per spin to 150.00 per spin.
During the base game, nothing much is happening. We spin the reels and score some wins here and there. The game is not overly volatile, so we usually see wins here and there. But ultimately, we’re waiting for at least three gorilla scatters to land on the reels.
When that happens, the free spins are triggered. We are confronted with a big ugly gorilla and have to hit him to earn free spins. When he finally blocks us, we don’t get any more and the free spins kick off.
Depending on how many scatters we get in the beginning, we can get more or less free spins:
Of course, we once got 17 spins with 3 scatters and then 15 spins with 4 scatters. There’s no predicting how things may go.
Either way, during the free spins, the gorilla scatter becomes a collectable symbol. If we manage to collect three, we receive four more free spins as well as a 3x multiplier for all wins for the rest of the free spin round. If we collect less than three, they will turn into random wilds on the final spin. It is also possible that you don’t collect any.
Another special feature in the free spins is the VS symbol. Land two of them on the reels and you trigger a Boss Fight.
The Boss Fights are a little side game within the free spins. Our hero Lilith now faces one of the four bosses and has to fight him. We see a battle seen in the depth of hell before us, which is graphically superb and reminds us of high-end video game fight scenes. We get to hit the boss, who either loses health points, block the attack or counterattacks us.
When the health meter drops to zero the Boss is defeated. Or we are defeated, if our health meter drops first. It could go either way, to be honest.
If we defeat the Boss, however, we will get two more free spins as a reward and the reel symbol of the Boss we defeated turns into a wild for the remainder of the free spins.
We may end up fighting all four Bosses, provided we earn enough free spins and manage to trigger the Boss Fights.
The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) for Lilith’s Inferno is 96.4%, which is excellent. As already mentioned, the slot is not super volatile, and we didn’t find it too difficult to trigger the free spins.
Whilst the base game can be tediously boring, the free spins can bring a lot of fun and action. It all depends on how many free spins you get and whether you win your Boss Fight or collect more of those gorilla scatters for that 3x multiplier.
We have had some very lacklustre free spin rounds, winning just 30x our stake or thereabouts. But we also had an amazing free spin round, winning nearly 400x our stake thanks to extra Boss wilds, a 3x multiplier and some epic wins.
You’ll love Lilith’s Inferno, if that happens to you as well. Or you’ll turn away for something more rewarding. And even if you do win, you will likely move onto something else soon, since such a win won’t easily be repeated.
