Theme and basic information

Gunslinger Reloaded comes with a Western theme. We’re in some dusty Wild West town ready to face off against some of the most infamous outlaws the Wild West has known. Imagine yourself to be a bounty hunter and you get the idea.

Graphically, the slot looks great, as is to be expected from Play’n GO. We have the Sheriff Wild as the highest-value symbol that pays out an extra 1,000 coins, if you get five of him on the reels. The pan with the gold nuggets is worth 100 coins in a 5-of-a-kind win, the busty lady is worth 50 coins in such a combination and the sheriff badge is handing out 30 coins as the biggest win.

We also get cool looking poker cards as the remaining symbols. Whilst they do stand in for generic card symbols from 10 to A, the way they’ve been drawn as actual cards here is much better than getting a bunch of large letters and numbers.

Basic gameplay

We’re looking at a typical Play’n GO slot, where you can choose your bet between €0.25 and €100. The paylines are set and autoplay is available, allowing you to set loss and win limits.

The base game doesn’t hold many surprises. The scatter wins can be a nice addition and you should always be on the look-out for winning combinations including the poker cards. Once you collected a whole hand, you will activate the jackpot feature. But more on that later.

Bonus features

Gunslinger Reloaded comes with two bonus features as well as a progressive jackpot. Spinning the three Bottles onto the three middle reels will activate the free spin feature:

• All wins are doubled
• Re-trigger the free spins by spinning another three bottles onto the middle reels (you can do this indefinitely, if you are lucky)

• Pick an outlaw: Jessie Picket (2x multiplier and 6 to 36x your stake), Butch Curry (3x multiplier and 3 to 73x your stake), Wild Bill (4x multiplier and 1.2 to 240x your stake)
• Move through each stage by first shooting bottles, then knives and finally dynamite
• In the face-off, guess which position your opponent will adopt when shooting at you. If you’re successful, the multiplier will be applied to all wins throughout the previous stages.

Finally, there’s the jackpot. Once you’ve collected a full hand of cards. The hand of cards is then thrown into the air, revealing coin prizes. The higher your stake initially, the higher your chance at winning the jackpot, which is activated when you get a sheriff star on each card as it lands.

Conclusion: A much improved sequel/re-invention of the original

The theoretical RTP (Return to Player) of Gunslinger Reloaded is 96.67%. That’s great value and hitting the bonus features, including the jackpot cards, frequently helps a lot to keep you going. Perhaps we were particularly lucky when playing this game, but we managed to activate the bonus features regularly and collecting a hand of cards isn’t difficult either. That doesn’t mean it’s easy to win the jackpot, mind you.

Gunslinger Reloaded is not really a sequel to the original, more a re-invention of a game that was released such a long time ago that it was never updated for mobile play. Play’n GO is certainly hoping to offer up a great game with a local jackpot that will appeal to mobile players as well.

And they’ve done a splendid job with it. The game looks great and it is a lot of fun to play. This much improved version will surely become much more popular than the original used to be.
