On the reels you’ll find the Captain, the Mechanic (a girl) and the First Mate, who looks a bit grumpy. There’s also a diving helmet, a compass, diving boots, a harpoon and an oxygen tank on the reels. No card symbols anywhere at all. The torpedo is a special collectable symbol, but three of it on a payline will give you the highest payout of 20x your stake.

The Captain pays out 10x our stake for three on a payline, which run diagonally, vertically and horizontally on the 3×3 grid.

It’s also worth mentioning that a combination of Captain, Mechanic and First Mate will yield a win, albeit a small one, and that harpoon, diving boots and oxygen tank can also become a winning combination on a payline.

Additionally, there are pattern wins, when you get four matching symbols in the four corners or the four middle positions on all four sides. The four-corner win will pay out 10x your stake, regardless of the symbol shown, the four middle positions will pay out 5x your stake.

Beware of the Kraken in the base game

Actually, you kind of want to see at least the Kraken’s tentacles as they wrap around the reels during the base game. There’s no regular wild here, but whenever the Kraken approaches from the back doing just that, his tentacles will leave wilds behind where they touch the symbols. You can get 1 wild, you may get 4 or more.

That is the main feature in the base game, and it may not appear very often. You now get two new symbols on the reels: the actual eye of the Kraken, which acts as a wild and pays out 20x for three on a payline. Secondly, a treasure chest can appear on every spin.
