Theme and basic information

Play’n GO is among the slot developers who do like their generic themes for the most part. But every once in a while, you get a slot theme that is wholly unusual and that’s when Play’n GO truly shines. Visually, 7 Sins is such a slot.

The well-known 7 deadly sins of the Bible (Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, Lust, Envy, Sloth and Vanity) are beautiful ladies as enticing as Sirens. Each has been painted in beautiful detail and it’s easy to recognize which one represents which sin. The four card suit symbols are downright boring in comparison, which is probably intended just so nothing distracts from the ladies.

And then there’s the soundtrack. It’s beautiful and ethereal, giving the slot an almost mystic air. During the free spins this is taken up another notch and you end up barely caring about what’s going on on the reels, instead just listening to that beautiful voice tugging at the strings of your heart.

Generally, you’ll get 5-of-a-kind at the most, but on reels 2 and 4 a special wild, the double 7, is rolling along the reels, which can result in 7-of-a-kind wins, if you get one each on reels 2 and 4 plus one of the other symbols 5 times.

The usual 5-of-a-kind wins are fairly small here. Greed pays out 5x our stake here, Lust 4x, Wrath 3x, Gluttony and Envy 2x, Sloth and Vanity 1.5x our stake. But get a 7-of-a-kind win and it’ll rain coins. Greed will then pay out 250x our bet, Lust 225x and Wrath still 200x. The other sins will still pay out between 100x and 175x our bet.

A little extra in the base game

Pandora’s Box is the scatter symbol in this game. That’s slightly idiosyncratic, because Pandora’s Box hails from Greek mythology and whilst it contained all the evils of the world, it had little to do with the 7 sins of the Bible.

Regardless, you need two scatters to trigger the second chance feature. You then get to pick one of the 7 Sins, which will either reveal a multiplier between 2x and 15x your bet, or you get a third scatter, which will then trigger the free spins. One of the sins can also be a dud, which won’t give you anything.

Sinful free spins

Needless to say, you’ll get 7 free spins in 7 Sins. During the free spins, one of the seven sins will take up the middle reel. Who it is will actually change on every spin. Then the reels start spinning and the only symbol will be that same sin as on the middle reel as well as blank symbols.

Sometimes you will get nothing because only blank symbols land on reels 1 and/or 2, and sometimes you can score 4- or 5-of-a-kind wins here, which can be really good, especially since the slot still pays 243 ways, during the free spins as well.
