CasinoPop Review

At CasinoPop Pop Art meets online casino. Some describe the site as a reminder of comics from the 40s and 50s, but if you pay close attention, you’ll find that the real inspiration is the artwork of Roy Lichtenstein. He influenced Pop Art like few others. And on the homepage you’ll even find a section called “Roy’s Games”.

CasinoPop is owned and operated by MT SecureTrade Ltd, which means CasinoPop’s sister casinos are Guts.com, Rizk Casino, Dunder, Cashmio and a few others. CasinoPop first appeared on the scene in 2016, but it’s only now really gathering steam and thus attention. MT SecureTrade Ltd is by now well known for creating innovative, unique and creative casino experiences and with the pop art theme, CasinoPop certainly fits well into that category.

The casino comes with a great range of games from providers such as NetEnt, Yggdrasil Gaming or Scientific Games, and they aim to add to their collection constantly.

In order to inspire you to sign up, CasinoPop offers a 100% welcome bonus and up to £100 as well 100 casino spins. Additionally you’ll be automatically signed up to their bonus scheme, which means you earn points every time you play and get to level up to participate in the popSpin game.

Need more inspiration to sign up? Here are a few of the casino’s advantages:

  • Nearly 600 games from various providers
  • Fast payouts
  • Great promotions
  • Good bonus scheme
  • 24/7 customer service
  • UK licensed

The 100/100/100 Welcome Bonus

That’s what they call it, if you will. Because you get 100%, up to £100 and also 100 casino spins. Claiming the bonus is not difficult, you simply need to deposit at least £15 in order to avail yourself of it.

Bonus rules are explained comprehensively and should be read in full, because they are a little complicated here and there. For instance, if you claim the welcome bonus carries the following wagering requirements:

  • Under 100% has a wagering requirement of 35 times
  • 100% to 149% has a wagering requirement of 40 times
  • 150% and over has a wagering requirement of 45 times

So you can expect to have to wager your bonus 40 times before you can withdraw the deposit, the bonus or any winnings from it.

For further deposit bonuses, the wagering requirements are slightly different:

  • Under 100% has a wagering requirement of 35 times
  • 100% to 149% has a wagering requirement of 39 times
  • 150% and over has a wagering requirement of 42 times

It’s also important to note that not all games contribute equally to completing the wagering requirements:

  • Slots and other games (not mentioned below) = 100%
  • Blood Suckers and 1429 Uncharted Seas = 75%
  • Classic slots = 75%
  • All Table Games and Live Casino games (not mentioned below) = 10%
  • Black Jack and Pontoon = 5%
  • Video poker = 5%
  • Jackpot 6000, Pearls of India, Dead or Alive, Kings of Chicago, Simsalabim, The Wish Master, Devil’s Delight, Robin Hood, Castle Builder, Super Monopoly Money, Jurassic Park and Tower Quest = 0%

You will have 30 days to complete the wagering requirements.

Winnings from casino spins have a wagering requirement of 35 times. And the 100 spins will be handed out across 5 days in increments of 20 per day. You’ll be able to play those spins on Starburst or Lights (though this may change).

Finally, deposits made with Neteller or Skrill are not eligible for the welcome bonus.

They’ll bring you 1,000 games and more eventually

At the moment you can get roughly 600 games at CasinoPop, but that number changes as more games are added. With the frequency of new games being released and CasinoPop’s promise to eventually bring us 1,000 games and more, we can expect more games to be added to the library sooner rather than later.

The games currently come from such well-known developers as NetEnt, Microgaming, Scientific Gaming, NYX (NextGen Gaming), Yggdrasil Gaming, Quickspin and Play’n GO.

The majority of games available at CasinoPop are, of course, slots. Here you’ll find classics such as Avalon, Thunderstruck II, Twin Spin or Immortal Romance. But also the newest releases such as Wild Seas, Sea Hunter, Pied Piper, Rapunzel’s Tower, Fu Dao Le, Highlander, Orient Express, White Rabbit, Hugo 2, Finn and the Swirly Spin, Phantom of the Opera and many more.

But that’s by no means everything. For fans of table games things are getting better and better. Right now you’ll find more than 40 table games at CasinoPro, which is already a step up from what it used to be. You’ll be able to play a variety of roulette, blackjack and baccarat versions as well as Red Dog, Super Wheel, Casino Hold’em Poker, Punto Banco, Pai Gow, various Texas Hold’em Poker versions and even Craps.

Bingo, Video Poker and a handful of other games you’ll find in the “Other Games” section. In other words, you’re covered pretty well on all fronts. So, even without 1,000 games in the library just yet, the selection is still very good.

Decent selection, but more variety is needed

So, the live casino section is available – no doubt about it. By the looks of things you’ll get NetEnt live tables here, because Evolution Gaming doesn’t seem to be partnered with CasinoPop – at least not yet.

Right now they offer 14 tables, all of which are either Roulette or Blackjack variations. That in itself is not a bad thing, because you do get a decent collection for these games, but we could really use casino poker and baccarat as well. Let’s see whether we’ll get more games here as well.

Only a handful of jackpots available

Here we could definitely get an improvement. Right now there are only 8 progressive jackpot games available. Only two of them can make you an instant millionaire:

  • Mega Fortune
  • Mega Moolah Isis

Right now, Divine Fortune also holds a handsome 6-figure sum, but it’ll drop once again as soon as it’ll be won. Cosmic Fortune still brings in 5 figures. But Gunslinger, Gift Shop, Speed Cash and Bell of Fortune are all very small in size and hardly life-changing.

That’s slightly disappointing and we’re certainly missing a lot of popular jackpots here, including those hailing from Yggdrasil Gaming.

24/7 customer service

With an experienced operator such as MT SecureTrade Ltd we would most certainly expect that they offer 24/7 customer service. We don’t expect them to run all of their casinos in the same way, but we do expect that they know how to look after their customers.

And with that we do get 24/7 service at CasinoPop. You’ll be able to contact the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable team via live chat and email.

Additionally there’s a small help section, where some of the most important questions are answered. You’ll also find a comprehensive bonus terms section and you can, of course, read the full terms and conditions as well in order to get a clearer picture of the casino.

There’s also a “Complaints” section. Here you are invited to file a complaint via the AskGamblers Casino Complaints Service and the people at CasinoPop are known to answer such complaints.

Doubly licensed with multiple certificates

MT SecureTrade Ltd is a renowned operator with multiple very good and especially reputable online casinos in their line-up. Questions about safety and security are almost moot, but with a new and not yet fully casino we always want to safe rather than sorry.

CasinoPop is licensed through the Malta Gaming Authority as well as the UK Gambling Commission. Especially the latter has been tightening the regulations lately and casinos and operators have to adhere to even stricter rules than was previously the case. As it stands, we know of no complaints against an MT SecureTrade Ltd casino or against CasinoPop specifically.

Also, the casino has multiple certificates from Scandinavia and a certificate of trust from AskGamblers. Its RNG is also certified and the seal is supplied on the homepage.

The most important payment methods are available

CasinoPop provides its own page for available payment options. Whilst the list provided here is short, you do get pretty much all the information you could need. The following options are available for deposits as well as withdrawals:

  • Visa and MasterCard
  • Trustly
  • Neteller
  • Skrill
  • paysafecard

The minimum deposit in all cases is £15 and there are no deposit fees unless you use paysafecard, which comes with a fee of 5%, which seems ridiculously high and quite unnecessary, because this is a prepaid method, after all. Apparently CasinoPop wants to discourage the use of it, though. That’s the only explanation we have for this fee.

Aside from using Trustly for withdrawals, you’ll always incur a £2.5 fee when withdrawing your money as well.

The time frames for withdrawals can be found in the terms and conditions:

  • Visa and MasterCard withdrawals: 1-3 banking days
  • Bank Transfer Withdrawals: 1-3 banking days
  • eWallet Withdrawals: same day

There was no specific information on withdrawal limits, either per day, week or month. You should check this with customer services in case you are planning on withdrawing larger amounts.

No RTP information available

MT SecureTrade Ltd is not known for publishing their RTP information. For most games you can find at CasinoPop, you will be able to find RTP information provided by the game developer. But the casino itself has yet to publish the overall RTP of the casino itself.

We can guess that it is likely above 95%, but it would be nice to see some concrete numbers from third party auditors such as eCOGRA.

A quirky and unique Pop Art design

We have already mentioned it, but there’s no harm in repeating it. The design of CasinoPop was inspired by famous Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein. It’s colourful, quirky, unique and we kinda want more of it. You’ll find images inspired by Lichtenstein throughout the page and in the background, but we wouldn’t mind seeing the theme incorporated even more.

Design apart, the page is easily navigated, offers comprehensive information and is certainly fun to visit. The usability of the site and the casino is excellent and we have absolutely no complaints here.

MT SecureTrade Ltd proves once again that they have their finger on the pulse of the times and know what customers are looking for. Each of their casino experiences is unique and interesting, which is true for CasinoPop as well.

Almost better on mobile

A dedicated mobile app is not available, but nowadays that hardly seems necessary anyway. Simply open the mobile casino in any mobile browser on your mobile device and away you go.

Plus, with a decent screen on your mobile, the experience is almost better on the small screen. The colours pop, the games can be played intuitively and navigation is a breeze.

Nowadays you’re not even going to miss out on playing most games via mobile, because a majority of them is now available for mobile play as well. There are fewer live games and table games and not all slots are HTML5 optimised just yet, but you’ll have hundreds of games available on the go and that is enough for most of us.

A good range of promotions

There is a separate section for promotions on the homepage and that is just as well. Apart from the welcome bonus, you may as well grab a daily treat, which could be anything from a match or deposit bonus or casino spins or who-knows-what. Daily counts from Monday to Friday, by the way.

Additionally there’s the popZone, which is all about playing at the casino and levelling up. You’ll be automatically enrolled in the loyalty programme, which comes with four levels from Bronze to Diamond.

Once you level up you get to spin the popSpin, a wheel-of-fortune type of wheel, where you may get casino spins, epic spins (three times the value of casino spins), level-ups (including an additional spin), cash, popTickets or a jackpot. All popSpin prizes are wagering free, by the way.

Also, the popTickets are for regular draws where you can win a bunch of goodies that range from gadgets to vacation trips.

Conclusion: Good on the way to being great

Needless to say, CasinoPop is not yet perfect. We have yet to find a casino that is. However, they are already doing pretty well on many fronts. We do have some issues here and there, which we have already pointed out in every section where they apply. The wagering requirements for the bonus could be a little less strict. We also need more live games and jackpots.

Many things work well and are extremely well done. Plus, the casino is most certainly safe and comes with tons of experience behind it. The quirky theme is a bonus as well and speaking of bonuses, regular promotions are available as well as a built-in loyalty scheme.

If CasinoPop manages to fix those niggly bits that are bothering us, we are happy to recommend them wholeheartedly. Even now the casino is definitely worth checking out.
