In 2014 Casino Heroes opened its doors, but back then it was still called Casino Saga. Regardless of the name of the casino and the changes made to the concept since, a few things were clear from the beginning: this casino comes with a completely new and unique concept; it’s made for fans of fantasy and role playing games; and it promises a lot of fun.
Upon signing up you’ll be choosing your very own hero and as you play your favourite games at the casino, you get to choose which quest to go on and which adventure you would like to have. Beat bosses, collect rubies, earn XP points and get free spins. It’s all up to the player, which is part of the fun of this unique online casino concept.
Of course, first and foremost this is indeed an online casino, which means you get all the best games from NetEnt, Microgaming, Betsoft, Quickspin or Play’n GO. Whether you want to play your favourite table games or prefer to take the slots out for a spin, Casino Heroes covers it all.
Licensed in Malta and Curacao, Casino Heroes is operated by Hero Gaming Limited, who are based in Malta. When you sign up here, you get to choose your bonus yourself. Grab a bunch of free spins or get a match bonus of up to 100% and €100. Unlike many other online casino, Casino Heroes makes both possible.
Some of the most compelling reasons to play here are these:
|Games: 450+||Established: 2014|
Jurisdiction: Malta (MGA), United Kingdom (UKGC)
Software: Microgaming, NetEnt, Evolution Gaming, Betsoft, Play'n GO, Quickspin, Yggdrasil Gaming, Push Gaming, Elk studios, Thunderkick, NextGen Gaming
Support: Live Chat, Email
Play on: Computer, iPhone, Android
E-Wallets: 24 h
Credit/Debit Cards: 3-5 d
Bank Transfers: 2-3 d
Once you decide to sign-up at Casino Heroes and join this unique quest, you can get yourself started with an optional welcome bonus. You can opt-out, if you so choose, but don’t dismiss your options right away.
Depending on how much you want to deposit, you can choose between a certain number of spins that you’ll receive in return, or you get a match bonus of up to €100.
The number of free spins and the matched amount varies up to the initial deposit of €100. You could also choose to deposit €75, in which case you’d receive 270 free spins or €75 in bonus money. The bonus is quite flexible in that regard. Just keep in mind that depositing more than €100 won’t earn you more than 300 free spins or €100 in bonus money.
The bonus conditions are fairly easy and straight forward. Bonus money and free spin winnings are subject to 40 times wagering requirements. It’s always possible to withdraw real cash, which is good news. Free spins or bonus money may only be removed after six months, so players have plenty of time to complete wagering requirements. As usual, different games contribute differently to completing the wagering. The details can be found in the terms and conditions over at Casino Heroes.
Considering the emphasis on free spins in the welcome bonus, it’s fair to say that Casino Heroes certainly caters to slot players. That’s not to say that only slot players can be happy here. Indeed, the casino has enough to offer for others as well and the whole concept of Casino Heroes guarantees that most players here will be hooked on more than just slots. Anyone who likes role playing games will have some fun here.
Of course, there are tons of slots to be found here. Hundreds, quite literally. All the favourites from NetEnt, Microgaming, Quickspin, Play’n GO, Betsoft, Thunderkick or Yggdrasil Gaming can be found here. Whether you want to play Secrets of Atlantis, Tomb Raider, Golden Fish Tank, Wild Blood or countless others, you’ll find your favourite slot here.
Table games are easily found and sorted into their own sections. Choose among 17 variations of Roulette, 25 versions of BlackJack and almost 30 table games that include Baccarat, Craps, Pai Gow, Punto Banco and various Casino Poker games such as Casino Hold’em.
Additionally you’ll find more than 30 Video Poker games, which is pretty decent. Oftentimes you’ll find a lot less than that, leaving Video Poker fans disappointed. Casino Heroes aims for the opposite. No reason to be disappointed here.
Whilst you won’t find a Poker room or Poker network at Casino Heroes, you will be delighted with their small Live Casino offering. Yes, indeed, it is small. But you will find Roulette, BlackJack, Baccarat and Casino Poker games here and that’s all you will usually need.
The live casino comes courtesy of Evolution Gaming, one of the best providers around. Thus you can look forward to a quality live experience, even if the quantity is not what it could be. At the very least a live casino is available, which is more than can be said for a lot of other online casinos.
As one would expect when learning that a casino features games from Microgaming and NetEnt, their jackpot games are part of Casino Heroes offering as well. We do know that just because an online casino features games from both providers doesn’t actually mean that their jackpots are included as well. Thankfully you will find them at Casino Heroes, which means life-changing wins await on these slots:
Those aside, a few 5-figure wins await on slots such as Cosmic Fortune, Divine Fortune, Super Lucky Frog or Enchanted Meadow.
Currently Casino Heroes offers 18 progressive jackpot games, which is not an awful lot, but it’s better than nothing. Perhaps more will be added in the future, but we’re happy as long as some of the big ones are available here as well.
We are on a mystical island, Heroes Island to be precise, and what would any legend or myth be without an oracle? Nothing, of course. And the oracle on Heroes Island will answer a number of questions you may have about playing at Casino Heroes. Admittedly, calling it an oracle is much more charming than simply calling it the FAQ section, even though that is exactly what it is.
So, before you contact customer service, simply click on the little “Help” link at the bottom of the screen and consult the oracle. It’ll have plenty of questions answered in advance and you’ll rarely feel the need to talk to the guys at customer service. They are very nice and competent, though, so if you do need to open the live chat window, you can be assured to receive a timely and helpful reply.
That said, the only way to contact customer service seems to be via live chat. An email option is not readily available, though one does apparently exist. We were also unable to figure out exactly what the opening times for the customer service are. As far as we know customer service is not available 24/7, but precise times don’t seem to be posted on the website.
We’re of the opinion that two licenses are always better than just one. Indeed, if we could have three licenses from various jurisdictions, we’d be as happy as can be. In the case of Casino Heroes you’ll get licenses from Curacao and from the Malta Gaming Authority.
We’d be worried, if there was only the Curacao license, simply because it is not quite as reassuring as a European license. But since Casino Heroes has a license from the MGA as well, we rest assured that things are well regulated at this casino.
We’ve barely heard any complaints about the casino as it is. Payouts seem to be processed within acceptable, even speedy timeframes, the casino works with a number of respectable software providers, who themselves have multiple licenses each, and regular independent tests assure that fair play is guaranteed with each game that is available at Casino Heroes.
At Casino Heroes they keep it incredibly simple when it comes to payment methods. You’re basically restricted to using Visa or MasterCard, zimpler, Skrill, Neteller or the good old bank transfer. That’s it. And usually that is enough, even though these options are incredibly limited.
At the same time we’re unsure whether all of these methods can be used for withdrawals as well, because there is no specific information to be found on that subject. According to the oracle, withdrawals must be made with the same method that was used for deposits. However, that often precludes MasterCard and we’re also unsure about zimpler. Skrill, Neteller, Visa and the bank transfer won’t be an issue, however.
You should also be aware that withdrawals of €20,000 or more may be made in instalments over a period of time. How long that period of time might be is not specified in the terms and conditions, but here customer service will surely be able to help.
Considering that Casino Heroes offers a unique experience, one can expect that it doesn’t look like your typical online casino. Landing on the front page you’ll be looking out onto the bluest sea possible and in the middle of it is mythical Heroes Island. You can see different areas there and once you’ve signed up and have chosen your own hero, you’ll be journeying around this island as well.
The graphic design is quite brilliant and makes the whole experience a lot of fun. When you’re in the games section, things look a little bit more like you’re used to. All the icons of all the games are neatly organized. The background remains very blue, but the impression of the ocean disappears. The island remains barely visible in the background, just to remind you of where you are.
Navigation is a breeze and the menu is nicely organized. You won’t get lost here and there’s not an abundance of written information to overwhelm you. Simply concentrate on what’s important. All the small print is available when you need it, which is what’s most important.
There’s no specific mobile app for Casino Heroes. It’s not needed. Instead you simply open the casino on your mobile device, whether iPhone, Android phone, Windows or Blackberry, and visit the mobile version of the website.
You get nearly the full casino experience there. Casino Heroes is a very modern casino, which means that the website is perfectly optimized for the mobile environment. The mobile site runs very smoothly and it’s just as much fun to play all the available touch games as it is on the website.
Casino Heroes really aims to make fun of the whole casino experience. It begins with players filling progress bars whilst playing their favourite games. Whenever the progress bar is full, you’ll get to face off against one of the bosses. You’ll earn experience points and when you manage to beat a boss, you’ll get a prize that’ll be hidden in your treasure chest.
On top of that you may also find rubies whilst playing, which can be exchanged for hero spins, super hero spins or even mega hero spins. They’re worth up to €4 per spin, which can make for some nice wins.
The whole thing is quite fun when you like to play RPG like games. But it’s also completely optional. That didn’t used to be the case. At some point players had to beat the bosses in order to unlock new parts of the island. But that wasn’t very well received by players and now it’s up to anyone whether they want to beat bosses or not.
In the past one of the main criticism for Casino Heroes was the fact that not all parts of Hero Island were accessible unless players had beaten all the bosses. And beating a boss entirely depends on sheer luck. Random pick-me games determine how an ‘attack’ takes place and after each such attack a boss gets to whack the player. Nowadays players can choose to take part in the RPG aspect of playing at Casino Heroes or not. And that’s a good thing. Casino Heroes has a lot of great things to offer, but fun should not be forced. Making a quest or beating the boss an option was a smart move and it was received well by players.
Casino Heroes is definitely a fun casino to play at, offering a great range of games and software providers, a secure environment and just about everything one expects to find in an online casino that doesn’t offer sports bets or a poker network. We can certainly recommend that you check it out.
